System->Preferences->Screen Saver * uncheck: "lock screen when screen saver is activated" 2. Type gconf-editor in a terminal. * Under apps/gnome-power-manager/locks check: "use_screensaver_settings". * Uncheck "hibernate" and "suspend". This still gives me the possibility to lock the screen manually or using blueproximity.
